Hello, my name is John A. Lovano, however, when I was born there was someone that used to nickname everybody, well I got the nickname "Sparky", and that name has stuck with me my whole life. So, most people know me as Sparky, a few people know me as John, and believe it or not some people don't know me at all. Anyhow, that's why when I sign and date a window, I sign all my windows as you can see in the picture on the right below, which is a close up view of the window on the left of Chief Wahoo standing on top of the world. I signed that window between Texas and Florida in the Gulf of Mexico.

I was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Lakewood, Ohio which is the first suburb west of Cleveland along the southern Lake Erie shoreline. If you'd like to know what's going on in Lakewood, you can visit http://www.lakewoodobserver.com , http://ilovelakewood.org or http://lakewoodbuzz.com
For a reason I'm still not sure about, in 1989 I took a stained glass class. The first time we were supposed to come up with our own design I came up with this..

For those of you who don't know, this is the WMMS 100.7 Buzzard. When I showed up in class with this design I got kind of a weird look from the lady teaching the class, but hey, I thought he'd look really neat in glass. And as you can see I was right!
I do the copper foil method of stained glass known as Tiffany style. When I first started working with stained glass I felt I could get more detail using the Tiffany styled than with lead. So remember if you have that old leaded glass window that needs to be repaired.....I don't work with lead! I also can't draw very well, most of my drawing is erasing. It takes many hours of drawing and erasing before what I start out with ends up looking like what you see on this web site. My astrological guru friend Eva Starr say's that's because I'm a Virgo and Virgo's are.... well I'm not going to tell you what she say's about us, but if you have any astrological needs or just want to know what Eva say's you can visit Eva's web site http://reachforthemoon.net
But before we go any further let me introduce you to Moo-Moo. She's not really in charge, but if you let her think she is, she's much easier to get along with.

Before Moo-Moo was born I was over at a friends house, the late David "Cow" Johnson, and I was telling Cow that I was going to be getting a female Chocolate Lab and I couldn't come up with a good name and he say's "name it Sandy" after this girl that lived next door to him. I said if she was a Yellow Lab you could get away with Sandy, but not a Chocolate. Then the next day I was thinking, Cow's got a lot of nerve telling me to name her after Sandy. So I thought I should name her after Cowie, and that's how I came up with Moo-Moo.
Well that's enough storytelling for now, if you'd like to see the rest of my windows click on the thumbnails link below.
